Steve is a partner with Ziegler, Metzger & Miller. He is married and resides with his wife, Kathy, and their two children, Andrew and Lauren, in Chardon, Ohio. Steve is a two-time Past-President of the Greater Western Reserve Council of the Boy Scouts of America and currently serves as its General Counsel.  Steve is also the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award and the James E. West Fellowship award from the Boy Scouts of America.  He is a member of the National Rifle Association, the Amateur Trap Shooting Association and Ohio Rifle and Pistol Association.
