About Ziegler Metzger

Our Philosophy —

"There can be no economy where there is no efficiency." — Benjamin Disraeli, to Constituents

Should the concept of value apply to the law? If so, how should you measure it?

We believe that while the value of good legal counsel is clear, efficiency is one factor that may also help you obtain Counsel of Good Value

Attitude, size, responsiveness, experience and commitment not only shape a law firm but also define its effectiveness.

Our History —

Our firm was founded in 1952 when Harold O. Ziegler and Roger L. Metzger began practicing law together in what was then the Union Commerce Building (now the Huntington Building) on the corner of East 9th Street and Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland.

The shared background of the founders is reflected today in both our practice and quarters. Our clients include many of the region's leading companies, and our offices have remained at the same location in the heart of the city's legal and financial district.

An emphasis on the exemplary individual continues to be the basis of our firm's success. Whether distinguished by exceptional academic achievement, unique talent or extraordinary motivation, our partners and associates are truly capable of the firm's mission: to deliver quality counsel of good value.

Precisely what you need.

The qualities that make a good partnership feel like the right partnerships are sometimes hard to get your arms around. When you're working with a law firm that's made up of professionals who truly work well together on their clients' behalf, that intangible feeling of satisfaction becomes easier to understand. There's a certain sense of balance between efficiency and expertise that can only be delivered by a firm that is comfortable with who they are and what they are working toward. We think it's this time-honored approach that leads to the value of good counsel.
